When forging a certain forging, the forging factory needs to determine the forging process and the required process method before starting the forging work. The determination of forging process plays a very important role in the whole forging process. Let's take a look at how the scheme of forging process is determined.
The principle to determine the forging process is to create the most economic benefits with the least labor consumption. Under the premise of ensuring product quality and quantity, the minimum value is obtained in the total consumption of materials, equipment, energy and labor. For the forging process, it is characterized by high precision of forging size, satisfactory organization and performance, low consumption of raw materials, economical adaptation of forging equipment investment, simple tools, low energy consumption, low labor intensity and no environmental pollution.
The task of general process analysis can be summarized as follows: according to the function characteristics, material, shape, dimension accuracy, quality requirements and production quantity of forging pieces, various process schemes can be put forward under the conditions of existing or available equipment, devices, tools, energy, inspection means, management level and personnel quality.
In the analysis of forging process, the following questions must be considered:(1) whether it can meet the drawing technical conditions and quality standards; (2) whether it can meet the function of the forging; (3) whether there is any omission in the process of quality assurance; (4) whether the deformation force or deformation work can be reduced; (5) whether the machining allowance can be reduced;(6) whether the material is fully utilized, and whether it is possible to jointly forge with other parts, one mold or one blank; (7) whether the structure of the forging is reasonable and whether there is any excess dressing; (8) whether the procedures and steps have been minimized; (9) whether the metal flow line meets the requirements; (10) whether to consider cold forging, precision forging, rolling, local die forging, sectional die forging, joint die forging, forging welding and other advanced processes.
